FRAME:  Backbone frame shall be full-length, non-welded 18" structural steel channels.  Steel frame components shall be hot dip galvanized after fabrication.

HITCH:  A pintle ring and jack shall be attached to front of backbone main frame.  Hitch shall be equipped with safety chains and break-away switch.  Hitch shall be removable.

FASTENERS:  The nuts and bolts used to assemble platform components, attach frame jacks and hitch shall be galvanized steel.

FRAME JACKS:  Platform must have four (4) ea. 25,000 lb. capacity easy crank, adjustable steel support jacks mounted on mainframe of the platform.  Frame jacks provide uniform load distribution, allowing the platform to be set-up on uneven surface areas.  Jacks shall have hot-dipped galvanized 10" x 12" foot plates.  Jacks are secured to frame to prevent theft and handles are removable to prevent tampering after set-up.  Jacks must be crank adjustable to permit fast, accurate leveling of the platform.  Jacks must be capable of lifting the platform off the wheel system.

Support of fold-down stage wings shall be accomplished with a galvanized steel truss designed to support live loads of 125 lbs. psf.  Each truss shall have two (2) drop leg supports with fine and course adjustment.  Supports and truss shall automatically deploy or retract when fold down stage wings are lowered or raised.

Certification from a registered Professional Engineer shall accompany each bid stating that the platform structure meets or exceeds minimum live load code requirements of 125 lbs. psf.  Operator shall provide sill boards sized to accommodate local soil bearing conditions.

SUSPENSION:  14,000 lb. tandem axle suspension shall be provided, equipped with four (4) wheel electric brakes and four (4) highway rated, 12.00 x 16.5, 12-ply tires, load range F, (mobile home tires not acceptable).

PLATFORM DECK:  Deck surface must be supported by integral structural aluminum beams spaced 3" O.C. for uniform deck support.  Wood sheeting under the deck surface is not acceptable.

Deck support structure shall consist of 7" deep support beams spaced 4' O.C., fabricated from 11 gauge steel, and hot dip galvanized after fabrication for maximum corrosion resistance.

Platform deck shall be durable structural aluminum with safety non-slip surface pattern.  Deck planks shall interlock to form a continuous deck surface.  All-weather deck will not warp or delaminate from the effects of sun or precipitation.

Use of bleacher planks for platform deck is not acceptable.

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM:  For safety, the hydraulic system shall have an integral factory-set pressure relief.

Power hydraulic cylinders allow easy raising and lowering of folding platform deck wings by one (1) person.  Welded steel folding platform frame shall have a steel truss with adjustable support legs that automatically fold out when platform deck is lowered.  Support legs shall have both coarse and fine adjustments for precise leveling of platform deck.  Folding stage deck wings shall be attached to backbone frame by a concealed hinge with 3/4" diameter hinge pins.

Exposed piano hinge on deck surface is not acceptable.

Platform deck perimeter shall be heavy extruded 7" high aluminum channel with provision for railing, stairs, drape, or additional deck attachments.

PLATFORM BACK DROP:  Platform may be operated with one section folded, providing an 8-1/2' tall back drop the full length of platform for improved sound projection, and a wall for signs, props, or displays.

SIDE AND BACK RAILS:  Removable three rail system shall have nominal 3" x 2" anodized aluminum rails around rear folding wing.

STAIRS:  One (1) set of portable 48" wide stairs of welded 1/8" treadplate aluminum (for outdoor durability and easy handling) shall be provided.  Adjustable supports shall be provided at bottom stair corners to accommodate uneven ground.  Stairs shall attach to movable platform sections and on all sides of the main folding platform.  Stair railings shall be nominal 3" x 2" anodized aluminum rail and removable for storage.  Stairs shall have solid risers and shall not exceed 7/11 slope to meet ADA code.

12VDC ELECTRICAL:  Platform shall be equipped with all ICC road lights, license plate bracket and light.  Platform shall have connector cable, connector, and receptacle (owner installed).  All 12VDC wiring shall be run in protective loom.

12V Deep cycle battery and automatic charger shall be provided to power hydraulic system.

OPERATION MANUAL:  Two (2) operation manuals shall be supplied.

NOTE:
Platform shall require no hand tools or involve loose nuts & bolts during set-up or take down for transport.

Manufacturer must supply factory representative for full product demonstration within one (1) week of delivery of Mobile Platform.

Bidder must supply warranty statement for one (1) year coverage of parts and labor for manufacturer defects.

Bidder must supply parts availability statement for ten (10) years of parts availability from date of delivery.

References, with name, addresses, and phone number of at least five (5) previous installations must be supplied with bid.

Manufacturer must demonstrate at least five (5) years experience in the design and manufacture of Mobile Platforms.

OPTIONS
Equipment Storage Locker  provides secure storage for equipment in a large weather-tight compartment.  Locker door is attached to frame by concealed hinge and is secured by large stainless steel "D" ring latch with keyed lock.  Compartment door is weather sealed.

Premium Aluminum Stairs  of welded 1/8” treadplate aluminum for outdoor durability and easy handling.  Adjustable foot pads shall be provided at bottom stair corners to accommodate uneven ground.  Stairs shall attach to movable stage sections, to all sides of the stage deck.  Handrails shall be anodized aluminum and shall be removable for storage.  Stairs shall have fully enclosed risers between treads for use by children, senior citizens, and the handicapped.  Stairs shall not exceed 7/11 slope code.
