TranSport Mobile Bleacher Seating
Features
Century's TranSport Mobile Bleachers add capability and capacity by allowing you provide short term and special event seating without the time and labor required by conventional bleachers.  TranSport mobile bleachers offer quick relocation throughout a community, one-person operation, outdoor weather resistance and durability.

Fully Assembled - TranSport Mobile Bleachers arrive fully assembled and ready for immediate use.  Once positioned, disconnected from the tow vehicle, and leveled, one person can have the bleachers fully set up in under ten minutes.

Fast Simple Bleacher Set Up - Hydraulically actuated bleacher system allows fast, one-person operation and set up.  The self-contained 12VDC powered system makes opening the bleachers an effortless push-button operation.

The side and rear guardrails are securely attached to the bleacher support structure, opening as the bleacher unfolds.  TranSport bleachers are an "over-center" design with nothing to latch or unlatch.  Which means there is nothing to bend or break if you should inadvertently forget a step in the opening process.

Optimized, engineered structure - there are those who will try to tell you that a heavier bleacher is a stronger bleacher, when in fact, just the opposite is often be true.  Unless the additional material is selectively applied, you may be transporting dead weight that must also be supported by the same structure that you are depending upon to support seating loads.  As with human bodies, if you are increasing weight in the form of muscle, you are stronger, but if you are simply gaining weight, you expend energy just supporting the excess beyond what you really need to function.

Century's TransPort Mobile Bleachers feature a fully engineered, optimized structure that carries both seating and transportation loads while keeping total bleacher weight to a minimum.  In addition, by not routing the bleacher actuating system through the center of the main support beams, which requires holes cut into the beams, uncompromised TranSport bleachers can utilize efficient, lighter weight, 12” ‘C’ channel beams.

Less material does not necessarily mean less cost.  A structure with optimally placed materials is typically more costly to construct, but this initial investment is returned each time you use the bleacher in the form of reduced cost of transport, reduced wear and tear on your towing vehicles, and less impact on your fields and soft event-site surfaces.

Uniform Constant Slope - for improved safety Century's TranSport Mobile Bleachers feature uniform seat and footboard spacing, producing a constant bleacher slope.  There is no need to alter one's stride as they ascend or descend.  This is especially important in reduced lighting conditions when it is not readily apparent that the spacing has changed.

Concealed Hinges - the folding hinge points are located so as not to fall at a seat row.  With Century's TranSport Mobile Bleacher one never finds themselves having to sit on a greased pivot.

Full-Length Seat and Foot Planks - with the exception of bleachers equipped with optional aisle ways, seat and foot planks run the full length of the bleachers without breaks or gaps.

Anodized Seat & Footboards - clear anodizing provides increased corrosion resistance, while preventing the build up of black oxide which rubs off on clothing.

Rugged Tandem Axle Equalizing Suspension - TranSport mobile bleachers are equipped with leaf spring equalizer suspensions.  Century specializes in mobile units, and has decades of experience with a variety of suspension systems.  For this application, Century has selected an equalizing leaf spring as the best suspension for the following reasons:

Frequently mobile bleachers are towed over curbs and off road.  A weight distributing suspension with equalizer spreads the stage weight among the axles and tires without overloading any single component.

While a rubber-ride suspension (Torflex) offers independent axle action, it does not provide equalization of the towing loads.  When climbing a curb, the weight of the bleacher is placed entirely on the elevated wheels and axle.  With tall curbs there can be daylight under the other set of tires, and the weight on the loaded axle and tires double their normal load.  With rubber-ride suspension, during towing, if the bleacher is not level (towing hitch too high or too low) a disproportionate amount of the trailer weight will be placed on either the front or rear axle and tires, resulting in overloading and an unsafe towing condition.  Equalizer suspensions provide a more tolerant solution to unusual towing situations.
  Tandem-Axle Equalizer Suspension

Tandem leaf-spring suspension offers straight forward, rugged, low-maintenance assemblies, capable of withstanding both highway and off-road towing conditions, providing years of dependable trouble-free service.

Frame Mounted Mechanical Compartment - the heart of the bleacher is contained within a securely mounted main-frame galvanized steel compartment with lockable lid.

No need to search the bleacher looking for a primary component.  Mounted in the compartment are the hydraulic pump, fluid reservoir, battery, battery charger, bleacher control pendent, plus storage for the jack crank handles.

System checking and service are convenient and easy as the compartment is readily accessible with the bleacher either open or closed.
